From July 1, 2022, Bonaire requires all foreign visitors to pay the Bonaire Visitor Entry Tax.

What is it?

Bonaire Visitor Tax is an entry tax and replaces the previous Room tax and Rental car tax.

How do we use the funds?

The funds from the visitor entry tax are to be invested to support education, infrastructure, tourism development and sustainability initiatives on the island.

Non-residents of Bonaire (13 years and older) $75

Non-residents of Bonaire (12 years and younger) $10

All residents of the former Dutch Antilles (Sint Eustatius, Saba, Curaçao, Aruba, St Martin) with a valid Sedula or population register extract (maximum 3 months old) $10

"Island children" according to the definition of the WTU BES $10

Residents of Bonaire with valid Sedula or population register extract (maximum 3 months old) $0 Not taxed

"Island children studying abroad", with a statement from 'BES Studiefinanciering' law or with a tangible proof of full-time study abroad $0 Not taxed
